Overview

We are seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, treatment, and education for residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans addressing speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing impairments.
  • Conduct bedside swallowing assessments and recommend dietary textures.
  • Deliver therapy, document progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies and safety precautions.
  • Supervise assistants and students, maintain compliance with regulations, and foster a positive care environment.

  • Requirements include a Master’s degree, current licensure in Oregon, and preferably CCC-SLP certification. Prior experience in geriatrics or skilled nursing is preferred. The role involves 10 hours weekly, including weekends.
