We are seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, treatment, and education for residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.
Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans addressing speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing impairments.
Conduct bedside swallowing assessments and recommend dietary textures.
Deliver therapy, document progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies and safety precautions.
Supervise assistants and students, maintain compliance with regulations, and foster a positive care environment.
Requirements include a Master’s degree, current licensure in Oregon, and preferably CCC-SLP certification. Prior experience in geriatrics or skilled nursing is preferred. The role involves 10 hours weekly, including weekends.
